Get A Boiler Tune-Up

When your boiler or furnace has a buildup of soot, the soot inhibits the transfer of heat. The heat will in turn escape up the chimney which means it takes more fuel to produce the same amount of heat given off by a healthy heating system. With fuel prices on the rise you cannot afford this loss of energy.  A boiler tuneup saves you money. MJW's certified technicians will test and inspect your boiler, saving you a fortune on costly and inconvenient break downs.

MJW also installs new 90% efficient units that operate off of natural gas and propane as well as on-demand hot water systems, HRV's and ERV's. We can also spray foam ductwork and heated spaces in your home to eliminate heat leakage. This makes your heating system significantly more efficient and gives a higher R-value to the ductwork itself.

Adding Outdoor Reset

Your boiler is designed to heat up to 180F no matter the temperature  outside. With an outdoor reset your boiler doesn't need to heat to  180°F to maintain the temperature inside of your house. For every 4°F the boiler water is reduced, there is a 1% energy savings. Running your boiler using outdoor reset at 120°F vs. a fixed temperature of 180F will provide a minimum saving of 15%

Get An Energy Audit

We use thermal imaging to detect where the most energy is lost in your home. This is crucial to determine the best improvements for your home. It will also help make you eligible for federal and state tax credits for utilities and home improvements.

Retrofit Your Insulation

Generally the first and most important step in improving your heating system’s efficiency is retrofitting your home’s insulation. Injection foam is a great option for doing this, as well as a spray foam or dense pack cellulose insulation treatment in your attic.

Door And Window Replacement

Replacing doors and windows will often make a huge difference in your heating system’s efficiency. This is doubly important in older homes. We will be able to know if this is necessary after performing an energy audit. Call MJW At (603) 601-6283 to learn how we can help improve your home heating system efficiency.
